Dashboard TD components & instruments
TD’s up to chassis No TD10750 for LHD cars and 10778 for RHD cars had chronometric speedometers and rev-counters like the TC with flat faces, after those points “modern” magnetic instruments were fitted with “dish” faces. At the same time the ammeter was changed from a 20 amp scale to a 30 amp scale. At chassis No TD17548 the speedometer gained a high beam warning lamp and at chassis No TD13913 the oil pressure gauge was changed for the familiar dual oil pressure/water temperature gauge. There are replica speedometers and rev counters available with flat face. We do offer a refurbishment facility for customers own units - please plan early this can take some time.
All TD’s had the dashboard cover in vinyl (Rexine) to match the colour of the interior. If you are retrimming the interior of your car you will find sufficient vinyl in the kit we supply. If you are only recovering the dashboard we can supply vinyl in Red, Green & Beige
